➤ Outdoors for All Working Group

Published on March 17, 2014, by in All, News and musings.

On the 5th March Dr Anna Jorgensen attended Natural England’s Joint National Outdoors for All Working Group & Strategic Research Group Meeting, held at the Institute for Health and Human Development University of East London, and gave a short presentation about the BESS meadow plots at Bedford and Luton. The focus of her presentation was the work the URBAN BESS aesthetics group has been doing to explore and assess public reactions to the meadows. Other contributions to the meeting included a talk about the Well London Initiative, and updates on Natural England’s MENE (Monitor of Engagement with the Natural Environment) survey. There was an interesting discussion about the role of biodiversity in public perceptions of ‘quality’ in urban green space and the links between green space quality and wellbeing.
